There are basically two types of plants available in the industry:

  • Batch Type

  • Conveyorised Type

Batch Plant:

A batch type plant is a customised solution for low production volume and low initial investment and is the optimal solution for a batch type of production. Besides the pre-treatment line, batch plant consists of a coating booth with its recovery system, applicators (guns), curing oven and the material handling system (Trolley or Manual Conveyor).

Conveyor Plant:

Conveyorised powder coating plants are customised for powder coating of any size of components and high production volume. The conveyorised plants give better and uniform coating qualities with better process controls. These plants can be integrated with automated painting guns or reciprocators.

Pre Treatment Process Line:

This is the foremost process of powder coating and also called part preparation in which all the unwanted particles are removed. This contains a series of tanks or spray booths filled with chemicals and water.

Painting Booth:

These types of booths consist of a rectangular chamber, powder recovery system, motor & bin. Each part of the booth is customised for economic, production and space optimality.

Curing Oven:

An insulated box shaped (Oven) structure made up of GI sheet and glass wool to provide with an insulated environment inside the oven. As the temperatures inside the oven are generally around 200 Degrees to bake the powdered polymer paint.

Material Handling System:

A batch plant material handling system comprises of over-head track and loose trolley or ground trolley. Track and trolley is used for lighter articles. For heavy articles load bar is suitable. Whereas for conveyorised plant a overhead conveyor is once and for all solution for the material handling system requirement.
